i thought this was funny

we are in the middle of a change up in the house. i wanted a bigger dining room to hold a bigger dining table, so the original dining room became the study and the family room will become the dining room, and the living room will become the family room (as in the room with the tv in it).

to convince husband scott that this was a great idea, i told him that when the dining room wasn't in use, he could use it as a ping pong table room...or table tennis (sniff) room.

the ploy worked.

so...i am looking at different online sites for a ping pong table top that one puts on a table. most of them are used on top of a pool table, but ours will go on a dining room table.

so it is just a top.

no legs.

here is the description...

Tired of billiards? Try table tennis! The Ping Pong® Duo table tennis conversion top is designed to fit 7' and 8' billiard tables. Side stripes ensure proper alignment, while the sponge rubber strips protect rails and hold the top firmly in place.

and, i came across this customer review...

Comments about Ping Pong® Stiga Duo Table Tennis Conversion Top:
I cannot believe this table doesn't come with legs, how are we suppose to use???? Put down on the floor and get on our knees??? IT DOESN'T NOT COME WITH LEGS, DO NOT GET FOOLED. Shipping: That is another great story, it took them 5 weeks to deliver it, it was suppose to be a Christmas gift but didn't make it until 2 days ago. Homedirect shipping company, I think you should be using better company like ups or fedex, I wonder why I never heard of HD (what a joke).

duh!

too hot to think of a good title

april august is the cruelest month.

how did i let myself get in this predicament?

again.

august here is tortuous. and, i always think if i didn't carry around extra poundage (like 40 - 50 extra pounds), i could tolerate the weather in august.

but i wouldn't know. CUZ I AM ALWAYS CARRYING AROUND THAT MUCH EXTRA WEIGHT in august.

why?

and just before going to washington dc whose weather is described as 'soup' by the natives.

trying to keep positive.

trying to keep positive.

it'll be fun.

so much fun.

i'll let you know how fun it is...

wow...what happened?

i haven't posted anything since november of last year! and this year is more than half way through.

what have i been doing? admittedly, i have been basically lazy. i got netflix and have been tv series binging. seriously, this is bad. when i read a good book, nothing gets done until i am finished with it, and this is what i am doing now with tv shows...TV SHOWS!

that's embarrassing. i am ashamed, yet, i cannot stop. i've watched 'orange is the new black'. soooooo very good. and 'the killing' and, linden is like an itty bitty jessica chaistain (okay, not so itty bitty...just looked up her height...she's 2 inches taller than linden). and now, i'm watching 'house of cards'.

dang it! this is addicting.

imdb is my bff.

it's sad.

at least with reading a book, i felt all literarily and intellectually stimulated. now?

not so much.

i need to straighten out. i have given myself the month of august to get some stuff done.

really.

plus, i feel out of sorts with no google reader. i've got to figure out this 'feedly' app.

more, later...promise.

just as soon as i find out what francis has up his sleeve.

i know what a general has up his sleevies...his armies.
